What have you been up to for the past 40 years?

Been in the military since 1984. Started out in the Marine Corps, then enlisted in the Army, and I'm a member of the Oregon Army National Guard currently on active duty. Got to see alot of the United States and have been half-way around the world and back.

I retired from FCI Sheridan in January 2014, after almost 21 years. I took a year off and then went back to work.

Like most folks I went to college, however, I did it on installments and finally got my degree in 2002.

Met my wife right before I deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 2004. She is the best thing that ever happened to me and we have three healthy happy kids!

Myrel was an Air Force veteran whose service in Iraq left him with medical issues.  He retired and moved back to Oregon, living in the Prineville area.  I was saddened to hear of his passing as I didn't know he was having other issues from a car accident a few years back.  He was a good man, son, brother, father, and friend.  I think of him often.  Until Valhalla, my friend.
